About Me
My name is Joshua Nimako, born and raised in London. I'm Calculating.... Because I'm relatively young (even though I feel old), I'm hungry and foolish. This mindset has currently taken me back to the tech field, which was professionally started thanks to Haji, Paresh and Pritesh, who gave me a chance as a "green" IT consultant.
The reason why I said professionally is because that was not my first job. In fact, I started working at 16 helping a guy run his water zorbing and bouncy castle business. Since then, I’ve taken risks by putting all my eggs in one basket—only to watch it break more often than not. These experiences have led to failures but more importantly, they’ve given me the opportunity to start again—this time with greater intelligence.
One thing my failures have taught me is to focus on building my character, as the greatest thing we can produce is character. This has led me to not be afraid of failure as it's a chance to learn new things about myself, my craft and work smarter for the next time.
As well as working smart, working hard is ingrained in my DNA, thanks to my parents and experiences. I’ve learned over time that there are no shortcuts to success, If you work hard, you will have plenty. If you do nothing but talk, you will never have enough. That’s why I’ve spent the last few years sharpening my IT, sales and marketing skills. If I’m not working, you’ll probably find me in the gym.
Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right - Henry Ford.
The skills below are the ones I have deliberately chosen to develop over the past four years—a blend of both technical and soft skills. While my skill set may evolve, these are the areas I have dedicated myself to mastering. (Click on a skill to expand)
